One of the questions kids get the most often is “What do you want to be when you grow up?” But what about what your kids can be right now?
Work helps kids discover their purpose, learn responsibility, and build confidence in who God created them to be. Your child may not be old enough for a job, but you can teach them the value of work no matter how old they are. From simple tasks at home to greater responsibilities as they grow, work shows kids that what they do matters.
And no matter what they do when they grow up, the work you give them today will lay the foundation for a work ethic that embodies Colossians 3:23: to work “with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (NLT).
Today's Tip: Choose one age appropriate task this week for you and your child to do together. Remind them that this work, even if it’s mundane, is a way to honor God.
