So far, we’ve looked at things you can do for your kids. But today’s tip is all about you.

When you become a parent, life as you know it upends in an instant and recenters around a new person in your family. It shifts your schedule, your family dynamic, and your own identity. It’s easy to become consumed by all this new—and before you know it, you can find yourself isolated. But you need people now more than ever.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us that we were created to experience life in community. Everything you want for your kids—love, shared fun, moving stories, encouraging words, and purposeful work—are things you yourself can experience with other people. And the more you’re poured into by others, the more you can pour into your kids’ lives.

God didn't design you to navigate parenting alone. This journey is full of ups and downs. When you have a support system of other people in your life, the burdens will be easier to carry, and the wins will be even sweeter to celebrate.

Most of all, you’ll have people who can keep you on track with Jesus—and parents who are fully following Jesus raise kids who will fully follow Jesus, too.

Today's Tip: Find your people—parents in your playgroup, your PTO, your neighborhood, or a parenting Group—who can bring love, fun, stories, words, and work to your life so you can pour into your kids and show up well in their lives.
