You think you need to have it all together before God can use you. Maybe you'd say, you don't know the struggle I'm in, or how many ways I've messed up—how could God use someone like me?
But God knows your whole story, even the parts you'd rather keep hidden, and he still hands you one of the most important roles there is: to represent him right where he's already put you. That's what 2 Corinthians 5:20 says: "So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, 'Come back to God!'" (2 Corinthians 5:20, NLT).
An ambassador is like an influencer—someone who’s used a product or a brand and can't help talking about how great it was. You get to be an influencer for God. You get to tell others about what Jesus did for you, and help them see what he can do for them.
God placed you in this exact family, neighborhood, job, and season on purpose. So ask him one question today: "Who in my life needs to see you through me this week?" Then pay attention to who he brings to mind. He might surprise you.
Reflect: Who in your life needs to see God through you this week—and what's one way you could show up for that person?
