God's love is something that many of us spend our lives seeking, but there is no need to search for it. God offers us his love freely. According to the Apostle Paul, there is nothing we can do that will make God love us more or less.
God’s love is sacrificial. He gave his only Son, Jesus Christ, for our salvation through his death and resurrection. All we must do is believe. How can there be a greater, deeper love than a life laid down for it?
Despite that truth, we still question if God loves us when life gets hard, when bad things happen, or when we mess up and feel unlovable. But God’s love is unfailing. We can be comforted even in the hardest seasons, even when we make mistakes, knowing that the promise of God’s love is eternal and the price of our sin has already been paid by Jesus on the cross.
Today, reflect on the ways God’s love has shown up in your life in a recent time of stress, sadness, or fear. Write it down and say a prayer of thanks to him for his unshakable love.
