When’s the last time you were moved by a good story? Whether it’s one you read in a book or one you heard someone tell in person, stories connect us. They give us something to celebrate, something to hope for, something to share.
As a parent, the stories in the Bible can lay the foundation for your children’s faith into the bigger story God is writing—by sharing the Bible with them. When kids hear the Bible, they see how God works through real people who faced real challenges. They learn that the Bible is a place to turn when life gets hard.
Helping our kids fall in love with God’s Word while they are young builds a foundation of faith that prepares them for future questions and trials—and reminds them they are part of God’s greater story.
Today's Tip: This week, read one Bible story with your child and ask a simple question like, “What does this story tell us about God?”—then pray together, thanking God for inviting your family into his story.
