Do you ever wonder if you actually matter? Maybe you've hit a point where you're not sure anyone would notice if you disappeared—and you're not sure God would either.
What if the worth you've been chasing was built into you before you ever took a breath? That's exactly what Genesis 1:27 describes. God created you in his own image.
Being made in God's image means you carry a dignity you didn't earn and can't lose—not on your worst day, not in the version of yourself you're embarrassed by. Your worth was settled the moment you were made.
It also means you were built for more than where you are right now. Sin blurred that image in all of us, but it didn't erase it. Through Jesus, his death and resurrection, you're forgiven and being remade to look more like him.
So if you've been asking whether you matter, the answer is yes. Not because of anything you've done or anything anyone's said about you, but because God made you in his image.
Reflect: What would actually change about today if you believed your worth was already settled—nothing left to earn, nothing left to prove?
