Bible Reading / What's Your Identity in Christ?

You Are Forgiven

1JN 1:9, GAL 2:20, ROM 10:13, ROM 6:4

Read: 1 John 1:9, Galatians 2:20, Romans 10:13, Romans 6:4

One of the biggest hurdles to seeing and understanding our true value is the guilt we carry from our past mistakes. If you’ve ever felt like you really messed up, you know how that shame can affect the way you see yourself. You may feel worthless or hopeless, or undeserving of being loved and welcomed.

You don’t have to worry about what God will think when he finds out what you’ve done. He already knows – and he loves you anyway. Nothing is a surprise to God, including your failures, and he made a way to offer you forgiveness far in advance!

This forgiveness was made possible through Jesus. Jesus, God’s flesh and blood, died a humiliating, public death to take on the punishment for the sins and mistakes of all mankind. Jesus paid the price you would otherwise owe, and now you have a clean slate with God.

If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to ask God for his forgiveness. Tell him that you want Jesus to be the Savior and guide of your life, and rest in the knowledge that you are forgiven and saved – forever.
