Nothing erodes a relationship – even a marriage – faster than lies. The importance of honesty in a marriage cannot be overstated.
Colossians 3:9 gives us a powerful reminder as followers of Christ. Because we have a new identity in Jesus and have “stripped off” our old selves, lying is no longer acceptable behavior. The verse puts it simply: “Don’t lie to each other.”
