Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:18
Who is your best friend? What makes them your best friend? Now think of someone who you aren’t friends with. Why is it that you do not consider them your friend? While it is normal to not be friends with everyone, it is amazing to think that God sees everyone with loving eyes! No matter what someone looks like, says, or how they act, God loves them just the way they are. God tells us we are to love others just like he does. This can be hard, but if we ask God to help us to love them, acknowledge them, and see them the way he created them, he will help us!
1. Have you ever struggled to like someone? What made it hard to do that?
2. What can you do if you find it hard to see someone the way God does?
Challenge: As a family, plan to show someone God’s love! Maybe it is helping an older neighbor with yard work, bringing food to a new parent, or inviting someone down the street to join you at church!
