Parents: Write “Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!” on a small piece of paper. Place the paper inside an Easter egg and hide it for your kids to find.

Kids: Look for the first Easter egg!

Together: Read about how people praised Jesus when he entered Jerusalem in Matthew 21:8-9. As you read, tell your kids to listen for the important words they found in the egg.

The people in the story were praising Jesus. This means that they loved Jesus and were grateful for all the things he had done for them. They were celebrating that he had arrived! Ask each other, what has Jesus done for you that you are grateful for? How can we praise Jesus together? (Some examples are praying, singing a worship song, dancing to kidWorship music, journaling to God and more!) Take time to praise Jesus as a family and thank him for his blessings! Try listening to LCBC kidWorship songs on Spotify as you thank God together.
