Obedience
Israel is being led by a king named Saul. God gave Saul some instructions, but he didn’t completely do what God said. Saul claims he kept the best of the animals so he could sacrifice them to God. As a result, God rejected Saul as king. Although God wants us to ask forgiveness when we sin, according to verse 22, He would prefer we not sin in the first place.
There are Christians who justify the wrong things they do by thinking it’s no big deal since God will forgive them anyway. God does love us and will forgive us, but the way we show we love God is by obeying Him. Taking advantage of God’s love is no way to live!
