Paul gives some important instructions on prayer. He encourages Christians to pray for their political leaders. He reminds us it is a privilege to be given access to God through Jesus. In Ephesus, it appears there are different issues that need to be addressed for men and women. The men appear to be having such strong disagreements with each other that they forget they should be coming together for prayer. The women seem to have problems with trying to draw attention to themselves and taking control in situations where they should not. It is far too common for people in churches to do the kinds of things Paul is talking about; we want to win the argument, get the attention or be in charge. Paul says to pray instead. When you find yourself with strained relationships, do you try to win, or do you start praying for yourself and the other people?
